AS A CONTRIBUTOR TO BW4BG YOU ARE A PART OF MOVEMENT TO ENCOURAGE, EMP0WER AND EMBOLDEN GIRLS TO BE THEIR BEST SELVES.
Responsible for identifying and recruiting new members and engaging and retaining existing members; responsible for creating annual membership goals and collecting membership pledges in accordance with members’ contribution schedules.
Responsible for developing the award application, outreach to schools and organizations, review of applications and coordination with selected honorees. Also includes the organization of the college shower event which entails invitations, securing a space and catering, soliciting corporate sponsors for in-kind donations.
Responsible for creating the grant application to identify and award organizations that make a tangible impact in supporting Black girls’ education, economic opportunity or esteem, as recommended by the study, Black Girls in New York City: Untold Strength & Resilience. Responsible for developing the application, lead the award selection committee, coordination with applicants.
Responsible for building upon existing BWBG research to keep the organization relevant and abreast of news trends related to black girls; Responsible for executing surveys, focus groups, and other research as needed to maintain the organization’s up-to-date knowledge pool and authority in black girls, black philanthropy, and giving circles at large.

Responsible for developing the BWBG brand, raising external awareness among media and targeted stakeholders, building and maintain BWBG online properties, and capturing, archiving, managing the BWBG story and collateral materials.
Responsible for guidelines that govern the operations of BWBG, related to ethical practices and procedures, organizational and fiscal policy, youth interaction standards (in accordance with the Department of Health), etc.; Responsible for reviewing member and organizational infractions and executing compliance and reporting activities as necessary.
